Lumeni

Red light therapy cap rentals for postpartum and post-chemo hair recovery.

The Problem

FDA-cleared red light therapy devices cost $2,000+, creating a barrier for temporary-alopecia patients who need treatment only during recovery (3–6 months). Lumeni lets them try the treatment affordably before committing to a purchase.

What I Built

A full-stack marketplace on Next.js 16 with Stripe subscription checkout, a curated device catalog (Blueprint 302, iRestore Elite, Capillus Spectrum at $92–247/mo), ship-date selection, and clinical research integration. Backed by Supabase for rental tracking, Resend for transactional email, and GA4 for funnel analysis. Engineered for medical-grade ops: device tiering grounded in technical capability (laser diode count, wavelength coverage, near-infrared penetration), not arbitrary pricing.

Notable

Research section grounds marketing claims in peer-reviewed studies with dosimetry analysis. Live with real rentals, customer support, and referral partnerships in flight with oncologists.
